Another e30 in Northern Michigan

I saw this red convertible BMW e30 at a shop in frankfort today.  Unfortunately I was not able to talk to the owner but at least I know I’m not the only one in norther michigan still driving an e30!

Personally I don’t care for the convertible but it’s still pretty cool. Do you know of any others?

My first BMW e30

My new ride! Fudley is a 1990 BMW 325i 5 speed manual, enthusiasts call this body style an e30. Needless to say a little different than my previous daily driver.

Black on black with some fairly beat up sport seats a previous owner swaped in from a coupe.

Aside from the ricey stereo, rims, and h&r sways it appears to be stock. Fudley, a name given to it by the previous owner, has 187k on the clock and I’m looking forward to seeing the miles rack up. Stay tuned for updates as I’m sure there will be some bumps in our future.

As you can see my 08′ Prius had seen better days… it had been good to my fuel bill for the last 14 months (I would say average 44 mpg) but now it was time to give it up. I wont lie my back is not complaining. I bought the Prius with 59k on the clock and the deer ended its life with 134,300 miles. Yes you are reading that right for those of you who didn’t immediately pull out a calculator I put 5,378 miles per month on my beloved Prius. In other numbers if I averaged 50 miles per hour I spend 107.56 hours per month in the car, or 26.89 hours per week, or 5.38 hours per day. Someone once told me that working this type of job you get a lot of “windshield” time, I don’t think that I realized exactly how much of that “windshield” time would be required.

So long my friend, my fuel bill may miss you but my body and back will not miss you at all.
